Sam and his restaurant were a Bristol institution. The pizza was and is unmatched. He always toiled genially in the kitchen, visible to all of his customers. It was great iconic Italian food in a venue that did not change from the time my dad visited through the time I took my children there. Sam and his restaurant are missed.
