Finding Wisdom

I have learned to accept the things I cannot change, to understand the things I can change, and the wisdom to know the difference. The scales are tipped heavily into un-changeble things. I am struggling to garner curative wisdom. The American flag is a symbol of national pride. Today the flag is steeped in darkness. It is sagging from the weight of the unfathomable.

Words from Simon and Garfunkle

Cathy, I’m lost, I said though I knew she was sleeping
And I’m empty and aching and I don’t know why
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
They’ve all come to look for America
All come to look for America
All come to look for America

I had a similar thought a few days ago. Driving through a small WA town, we saw a pickup with three huge flags on the back. In the middle was Old Glory. It was flanked by a flag that looked like the US flag, except all the Stars and Stripes were made up of AR15 rifles. The other flag, giant, black, depicting a huge hand giving the finger.
