This is my friend Bob Hamel who I photographed by surprise in front of Angelina’s Cafe. He felt the pang to shoot a roll of film so I lent him my Nikon Fm3a and a roll of Kodak ProImage 100. He finished the roll last week and returned the camera to me today over coffee. I will have the film developed tomorrow to see what he captured. Bob is a long time friend I met during my decades of sailing. He still spends a lot of time on the water with his wife Camille. Camille and I were finalists in an on the fly poetry contest in Quisset (Massachusetts) Harbor during a sailing cruise out of the Bristol Yacht Club. I won with a completely off the wall poem, and still have the contest prize, a beautiful photograph of a Herreshoff 12 1/2.
