I think this is a Blackhawk helicopter. Two of them flew over the Bristol Fourth of July parade today to kick off the parade. A C-130 preceded them, but I thought the planes were approaching from the south, and by the time I heard the propellers it was right behind and above me and I missed the shot. The Blackhawks also approached from the north but they circled back. It was overcast and I think I would have gotten a bit better shot if I exposed just a bit more. Shooting a black object from below against the still bright sky was difficult, especially with the need to move quickly. I had to monkey with this in Lightroom including a slight crop where the image lost some zip…..It is quite an awesome craft.
