Quite a challenge shooting with the Takumar 100mm F4 Macro lens on OMD M1. The light was diffused and handheld without the benefit of a flash, and to top things off there was a bit of wind. The focus asset was not working well at all so success depended on my eyesight. Only one or two of about 20 shots achieved reasonable focus, and this one was the closest I got to reasonable focus. A tripod without wind next time, and perhaps a flash and diffuser. I shot this at ISO 1000 so I ran the image through Topaz DeNoise, a program that is handy for M 4/3 images shot at higher ISO.. I can’t say this setup is great for macro, my long past experience with the great Tokina 100MM macro on Nikon is a tough act to follow. With my Nikon, I would use a viewfinder magnifier and that helped a great deal.
