I took this picture last night with my phone as I walked to my car from my office. Most of my days have ended like this during my 40 year career. There is an old saying that the practice of law is a jealous mistress, and whoever coined it hit the nail on the head. Nowadays, I get started later. I still enjoy the profession. Every matter is unique, with puzzle pieces requiring honing to fit. Solving each puzzle remains the draw for me. From experience, I solve the puzzles faster and the pieces fit more precisely. This “thing” is who I am to the core.
