Hi Fi in Lo Fi

I have had this roll. of Kodak 400 film sitting in my freezer for years. It was sitting along with other film in a barn for a long time before it was given to me. I shot the roll at 125, a random choice. I usually don’t post so many pictures in one post, but these are enjoyable especially if you are a fan of expired film or record shops.

I spent a lot of time in record shops when I was young. I amassed quite a collection of records, but got rid of them recently regrettably. I was not playing records any more.

I am testing out my Nikon FM3a to decide if I will use it in my June 2025 meetup with the other members of the Film Shooter’s Collective. During use of the camera my impression was a struggle with focus, but the image show I am having success.

These images were shot with my recently CLA’d 50mm F 1.2 lens. Because of the lowish light, every one of them was shot wide open, probably leading to softness.

I hope you enjoy this nostalgic post.
