I have unsuccessfully tried to make this image countless times. Positioning the camera so the sun is blocked by the narrow tree trunks is difficult. The movement right to left is minute. And then there is the problem of the picnic tables which are scattered and make for a cluttered foreground. Colors are another issue, the center of the image can be blown out leaving a cavernous hole of white in the center. For this reason, I converted the image to black and white. I confess resorting to AI to salvage this one, removing part of a picnic table from the right edge. AI’s ability in Lightroom to replace the removed object is quite good, even extending shadows effectively. I will keep trying to make a better result, since I drive by the grove every night on the way home. Perhaps if I catch the sun lower in the sky just before it drops behind Prudence Island will work well.
