I believe these are a species of Tern. There were some birders on the beach with very long binoculars. There is a flock of piping plovers inhabiting the beach but I was not able to capture them. A Leica is not the best “birding” camera by any stretch of the imagination. The best I would do was to use a 90mm lens. The frame-lines in the viewfinder are extremely small and focusing is difficult. I believe I shot these with the lens set to infinity on the depth of field scale.
