Tumult

Tomorrow protests are scheduled in Boston and the National Guard has been mobilized. It was around this time in 1968 that Jerry Rubin and Abby Hoffman nominated Pigasus for president. Pigasus was a symbolic protest from young who aspired to better things.

I was only 11 years old in 1968 but remember the tumult of those times. There was senseless violence. There was polarization. There was war. There was racism. The life cycle of the 1960’s “anti-establishment radicals” is coming to the end. America remains shackled to senseless violence and polarization and racism and war.
