We received bad news just now. Our youngest daughter, a nurse, just tested positive for Covid 19. This means I will be quarantined for a significant period of time. Photography, always my friend in hard times, will be at my side to quell the anxious moments. Assuming I remain without symptoms, I can continue shooting in isolated places or from my car. These shots were taken on a drive on Route 77 to Sakonnet. The Nikon D850 was coupled with my 70 – 200 lens, a combination that is the pinnacle of digital photography. When I shoot with the D850, I feel pangs of guilt – it is like cheating. I do enjoy the colors from the Nikon sensor, they are “moderate”. For these shots I used the Landscape color pattern.

Its mouth empties into Rhode Island Sound and it is marked by majestic Sakonnet Light. The land to the west (right in the image) is a line of tall cliffs that is especially beautiful from the water.
