Kodak ProImage 100, And Love Doesn’t Stink!

This is the last of the long string of days shooting film. I have to take a break. At the end of this process, I am not sure home development of color film is something I want to do much going forward. There are too many variables in the process. Time adjustments from chemical exhaustion, variations in temperature and the messiness of it add too much complexity and randomness. Blix in particular is a noxious liquid that ruins cloths and more. DSLR scanning is also difficult with the setup I am using now. My D850 with focus peaking helps to assure the scans are sharp. But it is in the shop, and manually focusing the Nikon D500 on the LCD screen is hard and imperfect.

As for this film, the variables discussed above leave me at a loss for words on what to say. Any one of the variables could have affected the final product.

In the end, the issue is whether I produced images that I enjoy, and despite it all, I did.

There is a picture here of an album entitled “Love Stinks”. It certainly does not. I am blessed with love from many, and it is my most precious possession.

Yes, indeed love is the most precious gift we have.

Hi Geoff, I used a Nikon FM3A and Nikon 50mm F 1.2 lens. I have been using this camera lately after a long hiatus from it. The lens was just CLA’d for me. It was very loose while focusing, and new grease did the trick. Thank you for your comment. Louis.
