I ventured to Lloyd’s Beach today hoping the brisk southerly wind would produce sea turbulence but it was not to be. I parked the wind and sun at my back hoping to catch some birds in flight but did not get any good opportunities. The gulls were not flying inshore. I managed to capture a few fairly sharp shots of a single gull. On the way home I kept my eyes to the sky hoping to see an osprey or hawk to no avail. I used a heavy Nikon setup. The focus tracking of my now “ancient” D 850 is not near as good as found in my Olympus M43 setup. I chatted up Butch Lombardi today and we resolved to get together to capture some bird life as the migration takes shape.
