I worked very late Monday night. I got home at around 9:30 p.m., something that has been commonplace lately. Despite being dog tired, I decided to develop a roll of Pan F that has been sitting in my bag for quite some time. The roll was shot in my Pentax 645 and spanned winter into summer. The development pour went well, but the next step went horribly wrong. I use water to wash the film after development, and mindlessly turned on the hot water for the wash. I use a tube attached to the spigot that inserts into the top hole in the Paterson tank. After a minute or so, I realized the mistake but it was not to be. The moral of the story is, don’t develop film when one is half in the bag. To make matters worse, the images (aside from the decent one of the entertainers) are all lousy….
