I am striving to shoot a photo a day, come hell or high water. Next week I will spend some time on Cape Cod and it will be a shot in the arm with the beautiful scenery and wildlife opportunities. In the meantime, here is a shot close to home. The Elks Club is a few blocks from my home. It used to be the site of the Bristol Yacht Club until the Club moved into the north end of the harbor. Today it is a drinking and dining spot where Elks do the Elk thing….While it is not akin, my mind flashed to Jackie Gleason with his raccoon cap on! To the right (west) is a finger from the new dock system installed by the Town in the last few years. I kept a sailboat in the harbor for many years, until selling the latest version only this spring. To the south of the Elks Club is the local Coast Guard station.
