These images were shot along the southern shore of Middletown, Rhode Island at the National Wildlife Refuge. I have shot many times in this place in wild and serene weather. Yesterday was quite cold with a biting south-easterly wind. I shot these images using Ilford PanF with a Leica M3 and 35mm Zeiss lens with a yellow filter attached. Framing is an issue because the M3 does not have frame lines for a 35mm lens. As a result, I tried my best to frame to the edge of the viewfinder. The images shot in the direction of sun suffered from a lack of contrast. There are two images of rock collections shot facing north away from the sun with a much better result. I metered at ISO 25 due to the filter and did fairly well with getting exposure right in camera. I used a flash shoe mounted Voigtlander meter to find middle gray, and wung it from there.
As I made these images, I thought of the violent action of the giant glaciers that shaped the shore and moved these rocks to where they still sit today, slowly eroding from the movement of water.

Excellent photography!
Thank you Chris and Carol. I have literally been on a “roll” lately, shooting different film stocks.
