I walked through the sparkling Citizens Bank tower in Providence today. In th elobby an attendant with a broom was sweeping the already pristine floor. I passed the crumbling and iconic Bank of America Tower that has been vacant for more than 20 years. Providence and Rhode Island mirror the state of these two places. Each is full of perceived potential deadened by an underbelly rust and decay.
